Newtype 2007 and 2008

Recently, I bought Newtype Dec 2007 and Jan 2008 issues. Yes, I know this issues can be considered history cos they have been released so long, and the fact that February issue will be out by next week means that I’m lagging behind. T_T

The only reason why I bought Newtype Jan 2008 is because of the freebies included. A Gundam 00 scheduler and an anime calendar. Woot!! Without further ados, I shall proceed on to the magazines ^_^:

Happy NEW YEAR!!!

It’s officially 2008 from the time that I’m doing this post and all I have to say: Happy New Year!!! =D

It has been a rough 2007 for most anime fans in Singapore, but somehow, we manage to survive through it and made it till the end of 2007. All the stuffs that happened throughout the whole year was nothing but bad stuffs.

For starters, there was the Od3x case. It rocked the whole nation, published in our national tabloids and newspaper. It was rumoured 1 year ago that they will have a crackdown. During the period, we felt the force of it and fought back. Although a meaningless fight on our site, we manage to change the mindsets of the people up there. They compensated us with D.Gray Man broadcasted in the same week, and while some of us are happy with it, the rest are ______________. Let’s hope they do something more.

Well, frankly speaking, Od3x didn’t really became a problem with hardcore fans. I still had friends who torrent their animes. And they aren’t afraid of it. And they are like the heavy supporters of animes. People who buy their goods etc. Well, for me, I *ahem* animes for now. And I hadn’t watch much animes. Lagging really behind. Imagine, your friends are talking stuffs that you don’t know. That’s how I feel. T_T

That’s the anime side of things. For my personal side, I guess I’ll be more busy than usual for the upcoming year.

I’m graduating and getting a diploma soon. By March I think =/ Then, I shall land in the land of botaks and become a full fledge botaku. Can’t wait to get the money!! Of course, before that, I might need to do lot’s of training before enrolling to be called a botaku. I suck at fitness. And life for me now has gone to a deeper abyss.

Currently, I’m doing my Graduation Project, and it will last me 12 weeks. 6 weeks had gone past rockily and we aren’t on a good start. And all I do all day is sit in front of the computer in school for a straight 9 to 12 hrs and do 3D shits everyday. And I tell you, 3D is gay! Although I’m thinking like a 3D guy now, my heart’s still in 2D. But overall, it’s fun. Btw, imagine reaching home everyday 9pm. You eat dinner, and by that time, you sleep. Wake up the next day at 7am, go to work, return home 9pm. Do this for 12 weeks. ^_^

And here’s my resolution for 2008 (I don’t intend to follow them! =X) :

1) Fall of Od3X
1) Train!! As in be fit.
2) Improve Drawing skills! ( This is a must-follow!)
3) Improve illustration/painting skill (Another must-follow)
4) Earn money so that I can buy DVDs and stuffs alike =D
5) Grow taller. (This is quite impossible..T_T)
6) Go Japan?
7) Learn JAPANESE!!! Watch more animes? read more mangas?

Of cos, there’s other stuffs but I don’t intend to write down. And I’m already planning something. But till then, no information will be released. Till my next post, Bye Bee…
