Lights and Shadows
Just finished a session of Motion Capture scenes with a local animation company by the name of “Lights and Shadows“. And I would say, I got a better peak into the industry. Or at least how the whole industry or how a company work.

They will using our school’s Motion capture studio to do a few projects on their hand. I believe I can’t review any thing about the stuffs they do cos it’s consider secret. I guess =.=
Anyway, when I reached home, I found their site. Googling up the words “Lights and Shadows” showed me the link. And man, staring at the reels that they provided just wowed me. It’s 4 simple Quicktime clips and everyone of them just blew me away. Ok, I kinda exaggerated a little but you get the idea. Their clients are big clients. Think MediaCorp, HBO, ESPN Star Sports and Discovery Channel Asia, just to name a few. They are the company that face-lifted the almost dead-dull MediaCorp commercials to something more vibrant. They even did the animation for Kids Central! Pardon me the overseas readers, these are some stuffs that only locals know. But feel free to click on every link that you see and you get an idea what their client is like. ^^;
Although their “Awards” section is kinda dead now, but still cool stuff.
FYI: My lecturer for my mocap class always like to boast about our mocap studio. “It’s the best in South East Asia.” =.=;;; With 18 Vicon MX cameras and the latest Vicon IQ 2.5 software, we are the best. =.=;;;;;; So, if there’s any company who wants to use our mocap studio for projects, feel free to contact Nanyang Polytechnic, School of Interactive Media Design. (DAMN!! That sounded like advertising for the school.)
Lastly, wish you guys have a great day.

L&S churns out great work alright. :]
I have never used mocap before but its ususally used as guide for animators. NYP Mocap Best in South East Asia? Has your Lecturer been to Korea or Thailand they have larger setups there…
mocap is a tool only to help animation, it cannot take over keyframe animation on the whole. as for the “best in south east asia” part, i dun really care
